Privacy Policy

Mayan Jumble ("the Game") is published by Midwinter Studios. It is available on the web at mayan-jumble.com, where it can also be installed as a web app, and as an iOS app. This page explains what the Game stores on your device and what it sends to our servers.

What we store locally

Your display name, audio preferences, board-size preference, current puzzle progress, other settings, and a randomly generated anonymous player ID are stored in your browser's localStorage. Clearing site data removes them.

What we send to a server

Optional account. If you sign in with an email address, we store that address, your display name, an optional avatar, your puzzle scores (times, moves, board size), Daily Challenge results and streaks, any 1v1 challenges you create or play (the board, completion times, and an optional note), your friends, your leagues, and your notification preferences. Playing as a guest requires no account.

Operational data. The Game records basic technical events needed to run and improve it. When you're offered the "install app" prompt, we log the event type (shown, accepted, dismissed, installed) and a coarse platform label to our database — no personal details are attached. If a page crashes, the error message and the page path are sent to our hosting platform's error reporting so we can fix it.

Email. Challenge and league notifications can be switched on or off per account in Account settings, and every notification email carries an unsubscribe link that works without signing in. The newsletter is opt-in only.

Third parties

Supabase hosts our database and sign-in. Resend delivers our email. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts and an optional feedback widget (FeedbackFriend); the iOS app does not load the widget. There are no ads, we do not sell personal data, and the Game does not set tracking cookies.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and its data from within the Game: open Account and choose "Delete account". Clearing your browser's site data removes everything stored locally.

All ages

The Game is suitable for all ages and playable in full without creating an account.
